My Internship Experience

Management intern at ICICI DIRECT

First of all,I'm lucky to get selected and to be part of ICICI for three months as Intern. As it is one of the top private sector banks in India.I got opportunity to work for one of the ICICI group company, ICICI securities which deals with investment and trading by providing wide range of financial products to customer.

I can say it was my dream role to work in  securities dealing with financial instruments and  I cracked the interview confidently by saying about distinct features of MF.

I really got good corporate exposure working in ICICI Direct branch located in Rajajinagar,Bangalore. My Branch manager,R.M's helped me a lot by answering my doubts. The project  continued for three months where my role is to educate every investor about working of MF,Benfits and also the usage of  online portal, to the clients who are bond with ICICI having trading account. At last, I have to take the feedback  from them.I have to analyze their feedback data and interprate who are interested customers by forwarding  their details to B.M or R.M's for generating the business.

I met 52 customers by going to their places after fixing appointment and some who came to branch.
Every day I did new adventures as I'm new to Bangalore.Going to  new places in BMTC buses to meet  the clients.Conversation with Kannadiga's,Really  wonderful Adventures in the whole project by side of learning's.

Most of the clients are effluent customers.I met with customers who are in good profession like Doctors,Advocates,Professors,Charted Accountants,Employees working in IBM,Reliance, Tech parks etc.,Meeting them and explaining demo and answering their queries,if not asking in the branch and revert back to them.
I can definitely say that my confidence level speaking in public,Fluency increases after meeting with different types of people from different backgrounds.
I hope this experience will never go into vain and definitely helpful for my rest of  the life.
Because At  end of the day Experience matters!

MUTUAL FUNDS

My understandings on mutual funds.....

Mutual funds are also termed as investment companies. These are governed and regulated by SEBI(securities exchange board of India). The term suggests the people putting their money in a place together to buy stocks and bonds or in some cases of both. The ratio we are investing our money in different securities like bonds, commercial paper etc., is called as portfolio. This fund is managed by a professional fund manager, who manages the pool of money and build the portfolio.our investments are spread across different industries and sectors in equity and debt funds.

This ensures that risk is controlled and also for a reason that all stocks will not move in a same proportion in same time. Thus it helps balance things out.If we invest our money to mutual funds they will offer convenience of liquidity.we can invest in low risk products which will give study return on investment or we can choose high risk products for high returns,it can depends on potential and financial background.Generally debt funds are known as short-term and equity funds are for achieving long-term big goals.

Mutual funds issue units to the investors with their respective money invested by them.He/she allocated certain units. The value of each unit is called NAV(net asset value). It is reflective of current market value of single unit of funds holdings. The number of units that investor can buy depends on two factors i.e, NAV of each unit and total amount of investment. For a glance see if the NAV is 15rs,the investor invests 15000 in the scheme.He/she will be allotted 1000 units. So,basically the net present value  is current market value of 1 unit of the scheme. This NAV will changes on day to day basis as market value of securities changes.

So i conclude,Mutual funds are the financial institutions act as a Agents investing our money in securities to minimize the risk opportunities and to maximize the profit, dividend on our investment through different schemes.

WILL-POWER

I'm sure that these things happen to you!!
Ten days before,I made a schedule dividing the 24 hrs time and attached to my wall beside my bed.The division of study time, going to library and sleep hours etc.I am following that from last seven days, but suddenly i'm waiting for simple reasons to break it instead of following schedule.I think why these lazy things over pound me and  after sometime I,came to conclusion that it is same like our resolutions made before starting of the year/month isn't it??
We will make a big list that what we want to do in respective year to change our self obviously for a better output and a list that what bad-habits we are giving-up in the future. These points depends on every human based on their required needs. On the first day of following my schedule i woke-up early before my alarm tunes. As it is first day we all be like that because on the previous night we were stick to our 'will'.But it gradually decreases when our habits take-over.People do not lack strength, they lack 'will'.

Fortunately my habits are so strong, that they can't leave me and forget day 70.In  day 7  I'm back.

WILLPOWER>HABITS=SUCCESS.

So,I make some points to increase will-power.In a way to succeed  the brain, they are
1,For a week stay away from that which you are addicted to-tea,coffee,getting up late.Having accomplish this for a week,Reward yourself.
2,You have a desire to eat something that isn't really healthy,Resist the desire
3,Avoid negative thoughts and particularly 'lazy'

Practicing weight lifting, strengthen your Muscles,To carry something heavy when Required. It is same with Will power.By strengthening, It becomes available for you to use whenever you need it.

Hope it would be helpful to you.
